ArmInfo. In April, the  International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)  representatives  again visited all the Armenian detainees notified by the Azerbaijani authorities.  This is stated in the message of the Baku representative office of the ICRC.

Accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), two people were  transported from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia on March 29.  As  ICRC Armenia Office Communications Program Manager Zara Amatuni  told the Armenian media representatives, since October last year, more than 50  people have been transferred to Armenia with the help of the ICRC, and emphasized that the Organization assists in transferred solely at the request of the citizens.

ArmInfo. On October 12, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahe Gevorgyan had a meeting with Maria Alcazar Castilla, IFRC Deputy Director for the Europe region. Anna Yeghiazaryan, Secretary General of the Armenian Red Cross Society and Hicham Diab, Programmes and Operations Manager of the IFRC in Armenia also participated in the meeting.

The military operation marked the "formal end" of the Armenian-majority region of Nagorno-Karabakh, a  territorial entity that had existed under that name since 1923 and for centuries under other names. Thomas de Waal, scholar and writer, Senior Fellow at Carnegie Europe, the author of the famous book about the Karabakh conflict: "Black Garden: Armenia and Azerbaijan Through Peace and War", stated at a special PACE Hearing on the human rights and humanitarian situation of Karabakh Armenians and the international obligations of Azerbaijan.

During a meeting in Baku, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Louis Bono,  the US State Department's Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations and American Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, exchanged views on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the current situation in the region, and the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
